Super Smash Bros. Brawl!

A few days ago I imported a copy of Brawl with a freeloader.

First impressions, It is a hell of a lot better than Melee.

The controls are more fluid, you can run whilst shooting, Graphics are beutiful and it feels all around more polished.

You’re gonna want to use your old Gamecube controllers for this one, I tested the other control methods, none of them had quite the same feel as the good old GC pad. The Wiimotes tend to make annoying noises too.

I have nearly completed the Subspace Emissary after about 7 hours and believe me, It gets tough. Although the gameplay of the SSE can get a little tiresome after a while, it is clear that a lot of effort has gone into the production of it, with the beautiful cutscenes and well thought out levels. I would say that just this mode was worth the money.

The characters seem easier to unlock than on Melee. This is because most of them are unlocked as you play through the SSE. You can unlock the characters using different methods though.

The music is great, a lot of effort went into re-mixing classic nintendo songs and some new ones too.

My personal favourite level is the Warioware inc. level.

This level randomly takes you into Warioware microgames.

If you win the microgame, you get a bonus

If you played Melee and liked it, then you’ll love this!

If you’re new to the Smash bros. series, I recommend trying it.

It’s hard to not love this game.

10/10

Final comments: Yes, it was over-hyped, but it’s still an amazing game.
